THE NATIONAL 2020 TOUR
I've been listening to The National since I was 16 years old. I've loved them for most of my life! It felt like a dream when I started working for The Collected Works,who have collaborated with The National for years, and we began the branding for their 2020 tour.
After throwing a number things against the wall, the boys at The National liked the idea of subverting the straight-laced office branding of "Sleep Well Beast". We wanted to use tools that might exist in that same office space to create the brand elements for this tour. This meant using a xerox machine to warp typography and style the photography.
The initial pieces of this campaign were posted on social media, but unfortunately, Covid cancelled the tour. I'm hoping some of these visuals make it to the other side.
